At the end of each year the Cathedral of Praise presents, for the community of Rockhampton, a Christmas Musical featuring our Singing Christmas Tree.
We write our own scripts, use our own outstanding talent of amateur actors and vocalist, create our own amazing sets and costumes and produce and direct our musical to bring to our community the wonderful story of Christmas.
Each year the message of Christmas never changes, God sent his Son Jesus to be born in a manger, but our theme surrounding this message does. We’ve had Christmas on a wharf, in the 50’s, at the pyramids and even with pirates…yes that’s right pirates.
We love to create a visual feast, with our scripts full of lots of humor and our singing Christmas Tree often taking your breath away with the purpose of sharing God’s amazing gift of His Son.
We present our musical over three nights; admission is free. It is a wonderful night for the whole family - we hope you will join us on the first weekend in December.
